Sgt. Thunderblast (v1) was released with the Armored Panther in the first wave of Alpha Vehicles for the G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra toy line in 2009.
Sgt. Thunderblast (v1) was repackaged in the Sam's Club exclusive Snake Trax ATV and Armored Panther two-pack along with Scrap-Iron (v7). He still piloted the Armored Panther.
