G.I. Joe Hawk was released with the first wave of comic packs in 2008 celebrating the 25th Anniversary of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. The pack also included Scarlett (v9), a reprint of issue 1 of the Marvel series, and a mail-in redemption offer for "Operation: Rescue Doc".

In 1991 Hawk was renamed "General Hawk", in 2000 renamed "General Tomahawk", in 2004 renamed "General Abernathy", and in 2008 renamed "G.I. Joe Hawk". So while there are several names, they are all based on the character "Hawk".

G.I. Joe Hawk came with a green helmet, clear visor, black webgear, a black rifle, a black pistol, a black and silver knife, and black display stand.

Body Construction:

G.I. Joe Hawk was created using the body of Snake Eyes (v28) (2007) with a new head.
