Filecard Information

File Name: Hauser, Conrad S.
SN: 234-55-GI89
Grade: E-8
Birthplace: St. Louis, Missouri
Primary Specialty: Infantry
Secondary Specialty: Intelligence
Motto: "We're the good guys and they're the bad guys. The job of the good guys is to put the bad guys out of business."

DUKE is always out in front, leading by example, never asking a team member to do a job he wouldn't do himself. That's why he's in right in the thick of battle when COBRA forces swoop in to capture a major metropolis. His experience and coolness under fire bolsters morale and gives the G.I. JOE team a firm anchor to hold onto even in the worst situations. He turned down a battlefield commission because he felt it would distance himself from his troops. A hard charger, but understanding and fair, he believes in his heart that decency, honor and freedom must always prevail over malevolence, deceit and tyranny, no matter what the cost.

Variations

Numerous variations were introduced in the 50th Anniversary release. Duke no longer sported the red paint on his epaulettes, the buckle and buttons on his belt changed from bronze to gold, the display stand for the release was black with gold paint, the metallic blue of his accessories was a lighter shade, the paint wash used on the JUMP and harness was a brighter silver, the blue on the flag was lighter, the ball and tassels on the flag pole were a lighter shade of bronze, and his helmet had a matte finish instead of glossy.

Featured In

Duke was featured in several of the various media of GI Joe through the years, including Trading Cards, Comic Books, Cartoons and Commercials.

Body Construction

Duke (version 27) was created using the body of Duke (v23) (2007), the lower arms of Duke (v28) (2008), with a new head.
