Cobra Air Trooper was released in the Cobra Legions Pack, a five pack which also includes Cobra Commander (v26), Cobra Trooper (v6), Cobra Vehicle Driver, and Storm Shadow (v23), to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero. The set also included a Cobra Logo music box.
Cobra Air Trooper was later released with the fourth wave of single packs celebrating the 25th Anniversary of G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero.
