Skull Squad Trooper was released as part of the 2006 G.I.Joe Convention ("Heroes Unite" in New Orleans, LA) exclusive Cobra's Most Wanted: Mercenaries! box set from the Official G.I. Joe Collector's Club. The set included: Cobra Mortal, Major Bludd v7, Overlord v2, six Coil Troopers, and six Skull Squad Troopers.

This was the only version of Skull Squad Trooper made.

Accessories:

Skull Squad Trooper came with a gray machine gun, a gray grenade launcher, a black helmet with the red and white Skull Squad logo, and a figure stand.

Skull Squad Trooper features the head sculpt of Crimson Guard v3 (2004), Crimson Guard v4 (2004), Crimson Guard v5 (2004), and Crimson Guard v6 (2005). His torso, waist, arms, and legs are made from the sculpt of Avalanche (1987) and Backblast v4 (2005).
