Rook was released as part of the the twenty-second series (2006) in the Plague Troopers vs Steel Brigade set. The pack also included: Checkpoint, Gallows, Grim Skull, Guillotine, and Red Zone.

Rook came with a light gray, green, and black helmet, a black rifle, a black and brown shotgun, a black and green flak vest, and a black battle stand.

Variations
The shoulder pad on the flak vest has been found both with and without a Steel Brigade logo. The version without is the more difficult to find.
Body Construction
Rook was created using the arms, waist, and legs originally used to make Grunt (v5) (2003), the torso of Salvo (v2) (2005), and a newly sculpted head.
