Red Zone was released as part of the the twenty-second series (2006) in the Plague Troopers vs Steel Brigade set. The pack also included Checkpoint, Gallows, Grim Skull, Guillotine, and Rook.

Body Construction
Red Zone was created using a newly sculpted head and the arms, waist, legs, and torso originally used to make Gung Ho (v16) (2005), which was based heavily on Gung Ho (v13) (2004). Red Zone featured additional articulation at the wrists and injection-molded shoulders.
