Scrap Iron (version 3) was released in a three-pack as part of the twenty-first series (2005).. The pack also included Firefly (v12), Serpentor (v3), and a reprint of issue forty-nine of the comic book.

Body Construction:

Scrap Iron (v3) was made using the torso, waist, and head previously used to create Scrap Iron (v1) (1984) and Scrap Iron (v2) (2004).

Scrap Iron (v2) was made using the lower left leg and entire right leg of Cobra (1982). The upper left leg was previously used for Cobra Commander (1982), and Cobra Commander (1984). The arms were previously used to create Thunder (1983) and Thunderwing (1998).

The legs and arms were also shared with Cobra Infantry Trooper (v1) (2004), Cobra Infantry Trooper (v2) (2004), Cobra Infantry Trooper (v3) (2004), and Cobra Infantry Trooper (v4) (2004). The arms and upper legs were shared with Cobra Squad Leader (2004) and Cobra Squad Leader (v2) (2004).
