General Abernathy (version 5) was released as part of the twentieth series (2004), carded in a two-pack with Over Kill (v5) as part of the Valor vs Venom line.

The packaging also included a Valor vs Venom Comic and Product Catalog and instructions.

In 1991 Hawk was renamed "General Hawk", in 2000 renamed "General Tomahawk", in 2004 renamed "General Abernathy", and in 2008 renamed "G.I. Joe Hawk". So while there are several names, they are all based on the character "Hawk".

Accessories:

General Abernathy came with a black wrist communicator, a grey pistol, a grey rifle, and two grey grenades.

Variations:

No variations of General Abernathy are known to exist.

Body Construction:

General Abernathy was made from an entirely new sculpt, and no body parts were used in the creation of other figures.
