Figure Description:

Duke (v13) was released as part of the twentieth series (2004), carded in a two-pack with Cobra Commander (v17) as part of the Valor vs Venom line. Press the figure's back to activate the nunchuck swinging action.

This figure was released in late 2003, but is considered a 2004 product by Hasbro. The packaging also included a Valor vs Venom Comic and Product Catalog and Instructions.

Versions of Duke:

Accessories:

Duke came with a black gun, black wrist communicator gauntlet, and black nunchucks.

Variations:

Duke was also available as a giveaway to the first 5,000 children for the July 5, 2004 baseball game as part of Armed Forces Appreciation Day. The giveaway sparked peace protests, but the promotion went on as planned. That figure came with no accessories.

Body Construction:

Duke (v13) has an entirely new body sculpt. No body parts were used in the making of other figures, but Duke (v16) (2004) had a nearly identical design, without the Action Attack features.

Duke (v13) featured nunchuck swinging action, activated by a button on the figure's back. The figure did not have O-ring construction or a back screw due to this feature.
