Figure Description:

This version of Viper was only available at the 2002 G.I.Joe Convention "Legacy of Valor" at Norfolk, Virginia. Viper was included with a Crimson Strike Team boxed set that included a Crimson Baroness, Crimson Tomax, Crimson Xamot, and twelve Vipers.

Variations:

Early versions of the Crimson Strike Team were produced in the wrong shade of red. Unofficially dubbed the "Fuchsia Strike Team," these sets were available for sale at the convention bagged. However, it should be noted that these pieces are considered preproduction items rather than variants. Take care not to confuse the Crimson Viper with the Fuchsia Viper.

Body Construction:

The same mold was used to create Viper (v5) (1997), Cobra Trooper (v2) (1998), Cobra Officer (v2) (1998), Viper (v6) (2002), Viper (v8) (2002), Viper (v9) (2003), and Viper (v10) (2003).
