Variations:

No variations of Cobra Viper are known to exist.

Some versions of the carded figure two-pack came with a sticker promoting the G.I.Joe cartoons on Cartoon Network.

The carded two-pack was also available in special plastic packaging with a free bonus figure of either General Tomahawk (v2) or Headman (v2) as a K-Mart Exclusive Bonus Pack.

Cobra Viper was also available loose with the carded two-pack of Sure Fire (v2) and Slice (v4) as a K-Mart Exclusive Bonus Pack.

Body Construction:

The same mold was used to create Viper (v5) (1997), Cobra Trooper (v2) (1998), Cobra Officer (v2) (1998), Viper (v7) (2002), Viper (v8) (2003), and Viper (v9) (2003).

The head, arms, and torso were used to create the original Viper (1986), Python Viper (1989), and Viper (v3/Sonic Fighters) (1990). The waist and legs were used to create B.A.T.S. (1986).
