Figure Description:

Shipwreck (version 5) was released as part of the eighteenth series (2002), carded in a two-pack with Cobra B.A.T. (v3).

Shipwreck (version 5) was also released in 2003 with a Mission Disc and again in 2004 with G.I.Joe shaped gum pieces.

Two Pack and Mission Disc


Shipwreck came with a graphite gray sub-machine pistol, a graphite gray handgun w/silencer, and an olive brown Sound Attack rifle.

The two-pack with Cobra B.A.T. also included a color background.

The Mission Disc pack also included Mission Disc 1, featuring two episodes of the cartoon, a game, and a comic. The same disc was also included with the Mission Disc version of Duke (v11).

Gum Bits


Shipwreck with Gum Bits came with an olive brown Sound Attack rifle.


Variations:

There are no known variations of Shipwreck.

Some versions of the carded figure two-pack came with a sticker promoting the G.I.Joe cartoons on Cartoon Network.


Body Construction:

Shipwreck (version 5) has an entirely new body sculpt. The chest, waist, arms, and legs were used to make Shipwreck (v6) (2003).

Note the return of the O-ring design absent from earlier new figures from 2002.
